Sadly it is still a bad deal, there are only a small number of good movies per year, and the theater experience is still horrible. It is far better to watch a movie at home, and not have to deal with other people who can't help but make noise, or block the screen, or use their phone. At home, I can watch a movie at my own pace, if I want a snack, I can pause the movie and get something that I can be happy knowing that I didn't pay a 2387243762367% markup on.

Someone please explain the business model.

How would this work if MoviePass would pay full-price yet the end customer only paid $10 for a full month of movies?

Already bought ticket with movie pass today…If AMC finds a way to block Movie Pass, I can cancel subscription any time.

An interesting idea. Sadly, the vast majority of films that get released today are junk, so you might find it challenging to find even 1 new release per month you even want to see. On the other hand, for around $8/month I can have access to thousands of movies (and TV shows) thru Amazon Prime, Hulu or Netflix. And with any of these three, I don't even have to leave the house. And I can pause, rewind and fast forward. And enjoy my own food, do stuff on my tablet while watching the movie, etc.

Their site is getting destroyed right now due to so many people trying to join.

I'd recommend waiting a week and trying to sign up then. What sucks is you can't see which theaters are available until after you send them the money 🙁

I wonder why AMC is so against it? Surely they will be getting paid for the ticket never the less and will carry on selling over-priced snacks to people
