If you're still using cable TV, you should cancel it. For anyone with an internet connection who would like a cable TV-like experience w/o the cost, I would strongly recommend trying out the Pluto TV app, which is available on most platforms like Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Android, iOS and some smart TVs as well. It has its own program guide while video plays in the corner, just like cable TV. They have well over 75 live channels in various categories similar to what you would see on cable: comedy, entertainment, lifestyle, movies, music, news, science, sports, tech, etc. In addition to the live content, they have a decent selection of on-demand movies as well. Ads pay for the content, so you have to put up with that, but at least with this, there's no cable TV bill. I subscribe to Amazon Prime and watch most of my video content that way, but this is a really nice, highly polished complement to Prime video (especially for things like news or if I'm just in the mood to channel surf). And if I decided to cancel Prime tomorrow, I could easily see this as my main go-to video resource. Highly recommended.

Cable is so dumb… literally only entertainment service where you pay money and still spend 20-40% of the time watching ads.

You can’t cut cost by canceling cable and their BS. YouTube tv or direct now if u need tv content that’s not over the air.

I cut my cords for everything other than internet 15 years ago and haven't regretted anything. $90 cable per mo, $80 phone per mo, that's over $2,000 a year saved. Not only that, why pay $2,000+ a year to be bombarded with advertising or called by telemarketers who can barely speak english? To me it just wasn't worth it.

In the UK Sky and Virgin Media want at least £70 for a decent package and its just not worth when you can get Now TV, Netflix, Amazon or Player TV for a fraction of the price(everyones got internet these days anyways) and they all let you cancel any time…
